Bear Crawl

Description:

Bear Crawl is a fundamental exercise that is incorporated into many warm-up routines for its multifunctional purposes.  Despite its simple movement, this exercise can effectively build strength in the upper body, primarily the chest, triceps, and shoulders.  For best results, engage the core and avoid allowing the lower back to sag during the movement.

 

Process:

  • begin on all fours, knees can be straight or slightly bent
  • engage core and keep lower back from sagging
  • crawl forward or sideways
