Bent Arm Shoulder Stretch

Description:

The Bent Arm Shoulder Stretch is a variation of the seated shoulder stretch.  This stretch develops flexibility in the lat and pectoral regions.  The amount of stretch can be increased by further bending the elbows and allowing your upper body to sink towards the ground.

 

Process:

  • begin in a seated position with both arms behind you
  • slowly reach arms behind body and plant hands on floor
  • bend the arms to feel a stretch in the shoulder and pecs
