Butterfly

Description:

A Butterfly is a simple stretch position that develops flexibility in the adductor, as well as the lower back.  In order to maximize the benefit of this stretch, focus on maintaining a straight back position as you lower your torso towards your feet.

 

Process:

  • while seated, touch the soles of your feet together and bring knees apart
  • pull heels towards your body as much as possible
  • straighten out the back and bend at the hips
  • lean forward to lower chest as close to the ground as possible
