Front Support Hold

Description:

A Front Support Hold is an exercise that not only targets the core but also the glutes, hamstrings, and triceps.  For best result, open up the angle between the arms and body as much as possible and focus on pushing the hips towards the ceiling.

 

Process:

  • begin in a seated position
  • push bottom off the ground so that body is supported by only the arms and heels
  • engage core and squeeze glutes and hamstring
  • ensure that shoulders are stacked over the elbows and hands
  • body should be either straight or in a slight arch position
