Similar to the relationship between a handstand on rings and a handstand on floor, there is very little difference in the technique used for performing Handstand Pushups on the Rings and on the floor. The only difference is the apparatus itself. The instability of the apparatus is what creates the challenge, and makes it even more critical that the performer maintains core tightness and that a sound handstand technique is utilized. If needed, use the ring strap for extra stability, however only use them as a guidance tool since over-utilizing them during the ‘push up’ phase may cause your body position to break.
