Knees to Elbow

Description:

Knees to Elbow is an exercise that primarily activates the abdominal muscles.   By learning the correct technique, you will be able to apply the same movement pattern for a number of complex exercises and skills that range from toes to bars, to even a back flip.  Make use of this exercise to develop dynamic abdominal strength.  For best results, refrain from arching the back when pulling knees up to elbows.

 

Process:

  • begin in a hang on a bar and ensure that core is tight
  • without arching the back, bend at the hips and bring knees towards chest
  • continue to drive the knee up until it makes contact with elbows
  • open up hips and shoulder angle, and straighten knees to finish in original position
