Pull Over to Support

Description:

A Pull Over to Support is a multifunctional exercise designed to engage the upper body, specifically the lats, and also the core.  For best results, elevate the body until chin is over the bar before rounding the back to rotate around the bar.  Keep chin tucked in towards the chest to better facilitate the rotational movement.  Scale by performing standard pull ups.

Process:

  • begin in a long hang position on a bar
  • keep legs together and engage core
  • bend elbows to elevate body until chin is over the bar
  • press chin against chest and round upper back and simultaneously drive hip around the bar
  • as you round the bar, lockout arms to finish in a support position
