Pull Up Hold on Rings

Description:

A Pull Up Hold is a fundamental exercise that develops basic upper body strength and endurance.  The ability to maintain a solid pull up hold position is a prerequisite for athletes trying to progress or perform other complex upper body-specific skills.  For best results, focus on maintaining a tight body during the entire exercise.

 

Process:

  • begin in a hang on rings and engage core
  • bend elbows to lift body up until chin is in line with the bar
  • hold for time
  • maintain good posture while lowering down and avoid jerking the shoulders at the very end
