Pull Up Walks

Description:

Pull Up Walks are upper body exercises that build strength in the upper extremity.  Although the majority of the work is performed through the shoulders and lats, this exercise also engages the core since solid body control is required to efficiently move from one end of the bar to the other.  Scale by performing pull up holds.

Process:

  • begin in a hang on one end of a bar
  • engage core and bend elbows to lift body up as you would for a standard pull up
  • move hands one at a time to walk across the length of the bar
  • once you hit the end, walk back the same way
