Single Knee to Chest

Description:

Single Knee to Chest is a multifunctional stretch that emphasizes flexibility in the glutes, hamstrings, and lower back.  Utilizing this stretch can often relieve some of the stress caused by sitting for a prolonged period.  In order to get the full benefit of this stretch, avoid curling the upper back and head off the ground while you pull the knee towards the chest.

 

Process:

  • lay on back with both legs straight
  • bend one knee and drive it towards the chest and grab front of knee with both arms
  • slowly pull the knee closer to the chest to feel a light stretch in the glutes, hamstrings, and lower back
  • switch sides
