Single Leg RDL

Description:

Single Leg RDL is an exercise designed to help develop strength in the posterior chain.  Because this exercise requires good balance and control, performing this exercise may also aid in enhancing proprioception.  Keeping a strong posture and engaging the core is a must for maintaining balance.

 

Process:

  • begin in a stand and balance on one leg
  • bend non-supporting leg slightly backwards
  • engage core and ensure body is upright
  • bend at the hips until upper body is parallel with the ground
  • flex glutes to open up hip angle and return to starting position
  • switch legs
