Tuck Ups

Description:

Tuck Ups are core exercises that develop quick-twitch and dynamic strength.  Increase the tempo and create a smaller tuck for increased difficulty.  For best result, ensure that the core is constantly engaged (do not let the small of the back sag) and make sure that the heel never hits the floor.

 

Process:

  • lie on back with arms to either side of the body
  • legs should be together and core engaged
  • lift hands and feet few inches off the floor to get into a hollow position
  • quickly drive knees towards the chest to crunch
  • open back up to a hollow position in a quick and controlled movement
