Side Body Tighteners on Blocks

Description:

Side Body Tighteners on blocks help develop superior core strength.  This exercise particularly targets the obliques and muscles to the side of the body.  For best result, lift up the side of the body that is facing the ceiling so that your body forms a slight side arch.  Two evenly-sized mat or platform is required for this exercise.

 

Process:

  • lay sideways on two evenly-sized mats with arms up, resting only your lats on one mat, and the side of your ankles on the other
  • top leg should be stacked over the bottom leg
  • engage core and lift up side of body facing towards the ceiling so that your body forms a slight side arch
  • maintain straight position from head to toes
