Description:
The achilles is a tendon that connects the calves to the heel bone and can become aggravated and susceptible to injury when stretching this area is forgotten or neglected. Luckily stretching the achilles is a simple task and can be easily added to any warm-up/stretch routine.
Process:
- begin with hands and balls of feet planted on the floor, with hip driven up towards the ceiling
- slowly allow heel to lower towards the ground while keeping the knee straight to feel a light stretch in the achilles and calf region
