Description:
The Seal Stretch is a position that is often seen in the Yoga realm (commonly known as an upward dog) but is also a common stretch in gymnastics. This stretch emphasizes chest, as well as upper and lower back flexibility. Utilizing this stretch is especially important after a heavy core workout. For best results, pull the shoulders back and slightly look up.
Process:
- start in a pushup position with toes pointed
- lower hips to the floor and arch back while opening up the chest
- pull shoulders back and lift head up for added stretch
