Description:
A Butterfly is a simple stretch position that develops flexibility in the adductor, as well as the lower back. In order to maximize the benefit of this stretch, focus on maintaining a straight back position as you lower your torso towards your feet.
Process:
- while seated, touch the soles of your feet together and bring knees apart
- pull heels towards your body as much as possible
- straighten out the back and bend at the hips
- lean forward to lower chest as close to the ground as possible
